Amines are classified under nitrogen based organic compounds that are obtained from ammonia. Molecular mass and characteristics of these chemicals depend on their composition. Known for their distinctive odor, their low molecular mass based versions tend to vaporize under normal temperature. Color of Amines depends on their composition. Aliphatic version of these chemicals tends to appear translucent when exposed to UV light. Smaller variants of these chemicals can cause skin irritation, although all their versions are not toxic. These chemicals may prove to be toxic for specific grades of plastics and metals. Therefore, these chemicals need to be stored in steel or glass container.
